By accessing or using the Outlai application and website (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
Outlai is a personal finance tracking application that allows users to record transactions, categorize spending, view financial insights, and use AI-powered features for transaction management. The Service is provided on both free and premium subscription tiers.
To use the Service, you must create an account with a valid email address and password. You are responsible for:

Premium features (AI smart add, auto-categorization, AI recommendations, and AI-powered import) require a paid subscription at $5/month or $50/year. Payments are processed through Stripe.

You retain ownership of all financial data you enter into the Service. You grant us a limited license to process, store, and display this data solely to provide the Service to you. You may export or delete your data at any time.
AI-powered features (smart add, auto-categorization, recommendations) are provided for convenience and informational purposes only. AI outputs may contain errors. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying all AI-generated categorizations, transaction entries, and financial recommendations. Outlai does not provide financial, tax, or investment advice.
The Service, including its design, code, logos, and content (excluding your user data), is owned by Outlai and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works of the Service without our written permission.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUTLAI SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Outlai and its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately, and your data will be deleted within 30 days.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notification.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
